Insert content from the Library

The Deck Library gives you quick access to reusable content that you can add to your PowerPoint presentations. Instead of creating commonly used content from scratch, you can browse the Library, find the item you need, and insert it directly into your slide.
The Library organizes content into folders, subfolders, and groups, making it easier to find the right shapes, slides, worksheets, and other presentation content.
How to use the Library

To
open the Library, go to the Deck tab in PowerPoint
and locate the Content group
in the
ribbon. - If Click Library, a open pane on the right.
- A You can browse the folders, subfolders, and groups or use the search option to quickly locate the item you need.

Once
you find the item you need, you can preview it and choose the appropriate
option to
insert it directly into your presentation.
Insert slides or presentations
Double-click a slide or presentation thumbnail to add it to your current presentation. You can also select Insert from the three-dot menu (⋮).
To add a specific slide:
- 1. Find the slide you want to add in the Library.
- 2. Double-click the slide thumbnail, or select Insert from the three-dot menu (⋮).
- 3. The selected slide will be added to your current presentation.
To add an entire presentation:
- 1. Find the presentation you want to add in the Library.
- 2. Double-click the presentation thumbnail, or select Insert from the three-dot menu (⋮).
- 3. The selected slide will be added to your current presentation.
Insert shapes and images
You can easily add shapes or images from the Library to your presentation. Find the asset you need, then double-click its thumbnail to insert it directly into the current slide.
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the shape or image to access additional insertion options:
- 1. Insert: As with slides and presentations, users can insert shapes and photos by double-clicking their thumbnails or selecting Insert from the three-dot menu (⋮).
- 2. Insert and Adapt: Use Insert and Adapt to set an image as the background of a placeholder while maintaining its proportions. Select an object on your slide, then right-click the desired shape thumbnail in the Library and select Insert and Adapt. A guide will help position the image correctly without stretching or distorting it.
- 3. Insert and Resize: Select an object on your slide, then right-click the desired shape thumbnail in the Library and select Insert and Resize. The selected Library content is inserted into the shape and automatically resized to fit the available space.
These options allow you to add Library content to a selected shape on your slide, either by adapting it to the required layout or resizing it to fit the available space.
Tip — If you need new content added to the Library or existing content updated, contact your Deck administrator. Administrators can add, edit, or remove Library content as needed.
The contents of the Library
The Library is available in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Available content may vary depending on the application you are using.
The PowerPoint Library
The PowerPoint Library can contain:
- Shapes and text placeholders, such as logos, icons, bios, and other graphical elements.
- Slides.
- Presentations.
The Excel Library
The Excel Library can contain:
- Shapes and text boxes, such as logos, icons, team bios, and other graphical elements.
- Worksheets.
- Workbooks.
The Word Library
The Word Library can contain:
- Shapes and text boxes, such as logos, icons, team bios, and other graphical elements.
- Text placeholder.
- Word documents.
Tip — Double-click a slide, worksheet, or text item to insert it directly into your current PowerPoint presentation, Excel workbook, or Word document.
Tombstones and Bios
Bio’s & Tombstones
Access Bios & Tombstone from the Content group in the Deck ribbon. Select Bios to open the panel, where you can browse, filter, and select the bio you want to use.
Once you’ve selected the required Bio or Tombstone, choose Format to view the available formatting options, or select Create Slide to add it to your presentation.
