Presentation Check and Corrections

Deck Check scans your presentation for common formatting and consistency issues. Identified warnings appear in a dedicated panel, making it easy to locate and review issues without checking each slide manually.
Using Deck Check
- 1.Go to the Deck tab and select Deck Check.
- 2.The Deck Check panel opens on the right, displaying the issues identified in your presentation. Sort issues by type or slide to review them more easily.
- 3. Select an issue type to view the corresponding issues. Hover over an issue to preview it, then select the blue icon to fix it.
Deck Check Pane
The Deck Check pane provides multiple options to review and manage presentation issues.
Review Options
- Warning Types – Groups issues by category for easier review.
- Slides – Groups issues by slide for targeted review.
Status Options
- Warnings – Displays the total number of issues identified.
- Corrected – Shows the number of issues resolved.
- Refresh – Re-runs Deck Check to update the results.
Use these options to quickly review your presentation’s formatting status and address identified issues.
Warning Types in Deck Check
Deck Check identifies common formatting and content issues and groups them under Warning Types. Each category highlights a specific issue and provides options to review and resolve it.
The available warning types:
- 1.Non-Compliant Font: Identifies text using fonts that do not comply with the approved presentation standards.
- 2.Double Space: Detects unnecessary consecutive spaces in text.
- 3.Punctuation Spacing: Identifies incorrect or inconsistent spacing around punctuation marks.
- 4.Empty Placeholder: Flags placeholders that have been left empty in the presentation.
- 5.Misaligned Shapes and Objects: Detects shapes or objects that are not properly aligned with other elements on the slide.
Review & Fix Warnings in Deck Check
Select a warning category to review the affected content, locate the issue, and apply the available fix.
Common Workflow
- Open the Deck Check pane and go to Warning Types.
- Expand the required warning category to view the identified issues and affected slides.
- Hover over an issue to preview it, then select the Fix This Issue icon to apply the correction.
- Once corrected, the warning is marked with a green status indicator. The Warnings count decreases, and the Corrected count increases.
Warning Types
- 1.Non-Compliant Font: Identifies fonts that are not included in the approved Custom Template Fonts.
- Expand Non-Compliant Font to view the affected fonts and slides.
- Use the Select Font dropdown to choose an approved font.
- Deck automatically replaces the non-compliant font in the relevant content.
- 2.Double Space: Identifies two consecutive spaces within presentation text.
- Expand Double Space to view the affected text and slides.
- Select Fix This Issue to automatically remove the extra space.
- 3.Punctuation Spacing: Identifies incorrect or inconsistent spacing around punctuation marks.
- Expand Punctuation Spacing to view the affected text and slides.
- Select Fix This Issue to automatically correct the spacing.
- 4.Empty Placeholder: Identifies placeholders that do not contain any content.
- Expand Empty Placeholder to view the affected placeholders and slides.
- Review the listed placeholders and add the required content or remove the unused placeholder.
- 5.Misaligned Shapes and Objects: Identifies shapes and objects that are not properly aligned with other elements on the slide.
- Expand Misaligned Shapes and Objects to view the affected elements and slides.
- Select Fix This Issue, where available, to automatically align the identified objects.
- Review the updated alignment to ensure the slide layout meets your requirements.
Tip — All warning types can also be reviewed from the Slides section. Select a slide to view and resolve the relevant issues.
Important — Deck Check identifies minor alignment inconsistencies. Objects with a misalignment greater than 16.0 pt are excluded to avoid flagging intentional positioning differences.
